My very Dear Cousin or cousins
I received your kind letter with the enclosed office order to the amount of I pound :10 which I received in the Tubecury post office. I cannot find words to satisfy my present feelings to return you thanks for your many kindness to us now and all times to us we are still living in the same old place thanks, to the (Mighty God) If my children proved ungrateful some of my relatives did not or does not I thank the (Lord our Heavenly Father) that he was so good to ye now and all times. My Children never sent me a letter since I received a letter from ye before that is I believe some few years past. I would wish you would write to Maria and state to her that her Broth in London and sister in Australia never write to me. Many of the friends at home the summer of last year. I received a great hurt in on of my hands by a cow that we thought was not cross when I went to the bog for water I met her then and entered one of my hands with one of her horns and ripped it open from the thumb up to the elbow into the very bone tore it all together from the bone but a little underneath. The Doctor put fourteen stitches in it. He had no good hope of me for three or four days. Expected I would get lock jawed but after two months I was well. Miney is stile tormented with rumatizm and worn to a skeleton. You mentioned to send Befadref the place she lives is Barney Cothel near Drummone west, riah (?) on the Ballenn road, Sligo.
I conclude by sending my love to all
